Branded short links explained
A branded short link is a short URL on a domain you control, such as go.yourshop.com/sale, instead of a generic shortener domain. Here is why people use them and how to set one up.
Branded vs. generic short links
A generic short link shows the name of the shortening service. A branded link shows your own name, so people can see who sent it before they click. The link still redirects to any page you choose.
Why use a branded domain
- Trust. People are cautious about unknown short links. A familiar name makes the link look legitimate.
- Brand recognition. Every shared link repeats your name, in posts, messages, print and on screen.
- Control. The links live under your domain, and you decide what they point to.
- Clean reporting. You can group campaigns by tags and see clicks by day, country and device.

/springrather than random letters. - Add a QR code for print, since a branded link is easy to scan and to type.
