Privacy policy

Who we are

0h.vc, US, US (“we”, “us”) runs 0h.vc, a link shortening service. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: privacy@0h.vc.

What we collect

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember the links you created without an account. They are not used for advertising. Free 0h.vc links and some pages show ads from Google AdSense, which uses its own cookies (see below).

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before ad cookies are used.

How we use data

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention and service improvement; your consent for personalised advertising cookies; and compliance with legal obligations.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the service (hosting, email delivery, PayPal, Google AdSense and, if enabled, Google Safe Browsing to check links for malware) and with authorities when the law requires it. Some providers are located outside your country; where needed we rely on appropriate safeguards.

Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Links and their click data are kept until you delete them; free links with no clicks for 12 months may be removed automatically. Server logs are kept for a limited period. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and California law) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your account and links from your account settings or by emailing privacy@0h.vc. We will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Contact us if you believe a child has given us personal data.

Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version, and we will notify account holders of material changes.
